Devizes Project
We carried out the replacement of a broken panelled fence with a contemporary robust louvre panel fence, incorporating a hedgehog gravel board
Bromham
Wiltshire
The aim was to make the property ‘dog proof’ to allow the clients very boisterous young German Shephard to be able to run free. The property has a large footprint and also included a field behind the garden.
The client chose Jacksons Nailed Square Post and Rail Fencing (see here) (3 rails) and stock wire as well as a double 2.4m field gate and a 1.05 pedestrian field gate (see here) alongside it. Because of the close proximity of a track to the side of the property, the fencing had to be brought through the hedge and continue around the garden on the inside of the hedge.
Client is very happy with the finished result and has already ordered more.
Trowbridge Project
1st Aid 4 Fencing, a Wiltshire based Jacksons Approved Installer knew exactly what solution to provide the client for his garden, including building a bin storage area, hiding a neighbour’s ugly fence, and creating a large flowerbed.
Baydon, Wiltshire
This was a huge project for a new build property in Baydon, Wiltshire. The client had chosen Jacksons and this out of area lead was given to me because the local AI could not manage the strict time frames required for this build.
In essence the fence was 112m of 1.98m high Venetian Panel Fencing (see here) (including gravel board), as well as a further 2.7m of 1.98m high Canterbury Combi panel fencing (see here) (including gravel board) and a 0.9m wide Canterbury Combi gate (see here).
The majority of the sides and rear of the property were relatively straight forward, as the ground was fairly flat, but either side of the front was a different story. The client had dug out the front of the property to allow for a decent sized parking area and had retaining walls built to hold back the earth. Our fence was to follow the slope and ‘step’ downwards. The client wanted the steps to be even with a balanced look. I think we managed to achieve this, despite the difficulty of installing the posts in a very small gap between the retaining wall and the boundary and working around the ground workers and bricklayers, who were on site at the same time.
For a little more privacy, Canterbury Combi panels were used between the house and the right hand boundary, with a Canterbury Combi gate on the left hand side.
As this part of the project was nearing completion, Building Control visited and pointed out that there would need to be some suitable fencing along the top of the retaining wall to prevent people from falling off into the car park below. A number of options were considered before coming up with Sentry Railings (see here), manufactured with bolt down feet. With the house essentially being black and white, the black railings suit the project very well and the finished job looks great.
The client is delighted with how the fence looks and the quality of the Jacksons products, as well as having the peace of mind that comes with Jacksons 25-year guarantee.
Decking Project - Trowbridge
1st Aid 4 Fencing explained the benefits of the Jacksons 25-year guarantee on all timber products and considering the poor state of their old decking, the customers decided to choose Jacksons over alternatives despite the difference in cost.
Boundary Fencing - Freshford
This client approached 1st Aid 4 Fencing and had a home that was on a steep hill. The customer wanted to create a boundary on their property that could be installed on this gradient. Jacksons fencing worked with us to provide a bespoke palisade fence.
